  Fun fact: The first man to get highly publicized legal sex change surgery had it reversed later in life, saying that he was abused as a child and was unduly influenced by others around him pressuring him to be his 'true' self.

  Fun fact 2: Studies show that over 60% of children and teens who transition go back before age 30. That doesn't account for the likely many who can't admit to themselves or others or don't want to go back because of commiting themselves and being mutilated.

  walked away from the trooth years ago(over 20) my older sister sends me an invite to the memorial via zoom.

  i have no interest in jwism at all.

  It's strongly "encouraged". It has been mentioned at meetings and on JW Broadcasting. You don't have to make it yourself, you can buy the right stuff, but if you don't at least have it on hand you would be viewed as spiritually weak by many.

  Also prioritizing non-discrimination in the military, and even encouraging maternity flight suits. Since when is sending a pregnant woman to war a good idea from a tactical standpoint, or even an honorable one? Just more noise to distract from the real problems, just like the GB does, always making new "special" announcements to keep people distracted and engaged.

  a couple of decades ago there were about 1200 people baptized every day as witnesses (on average).. a few years ago the co was glowing about 800 ones baptized per day.

  Frozen2018: Your point on the cost of execution is well taken. But the problem here isn't of execution, but of the ridiculous red tape and resulting high cost of everything government does. A far cry from back when it didn't cost too much more than the rope or few bullets and executioner.

  big news from israel, some previously undiscovered dead sea scrolls have been found with portions of the ot in greek.

  it says the name of god is included in hebrew letters within the greek text.. https://www.nytimes.com/2021/03/16/world/middleeast/dead-sea-scrolls.html.

  "the new fragments contain verses from zechariah 8:16-17, including part of the name of god written in ancient hebrew, and verses from nahum 1:5-6, both from the biblical book of the twelve minor prophets.".
